Library Update

Hello from the library.

Across the Trust, the children have been enjoying all the new books that the libraries now stock and some of our dedicated readers have given us great feedback.

Here are some of our recent favourites:

You might recognise this title, The Wizards of Once, from our recent book fair.

William in Y5 found it to be a great read for ‘lovers of magic and cute sprites’. This is the story of a young boy Wizard and a young girl Warrior who have been taught since birth to hate each other like poison; and the thrilling tale of what happens when their two worlds collide.

Halley in Y6 agreed with William, Halley commented that ‘the author makes you want to know it all at once and it is a book that is is packed full of magic and humour’. She was sorry to finish it.

We also have the second book, Twice Magic. Neve in Y6, described this set of books as ‘brilliant adventure stories about two fighting tribes, who need to join up to beat an even worse enemy.’

Unisha in Y6, has read through the series of My Funny Family books, saying: ‘The stories have likable characters and surprise twists in the plot’.

These books are great for those of you that enjoy warm hearted family stories.

The Land of Roar is a very new title. Ria in Y6, says ‘it is perfect for readers who like tales of magic and adventure.’ She adds ‘If you like make believe and magical lands, you will love this. There is a magic portal! - it’s easy to read but exciting too’.

The Land of Roar is reminiscent of Peter Pan, The Neverending Story and Jumanji – perfect for readers of Nevermoor and Wizards of Once. This book explores children revisiting their childhood made-up world. It is quite scary in places but very enjoyably as well.

We would like to congratulate all the Bookworms who have earned certificates this term. Keep up the amazing reading.
